Joint Statement on Resolution of Legal Proceedings

The University of Oregon (UO) and Dynamic Measurement Group (DMG) have amicably settled a dispute regarding the copyright and trademark ownership of the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) and Indicadores Dinámicos del Éxito en la Lectura (IDEL) assessments.

PELI (Pre-K) Early Release for the 2018-2019 School Year

Dynamic Measurement Group is pleased to announce an early release version of PELI® (Preschool Early Literacy Indicators) which will be available for research partners during the 2018-2019 school year. PELI is designed for preschool and pre-kindergarten students (ages 3 to 5) and assesses alphabet knowledge, vocabulary and oral language, phonological awareness, and listening comprehension. The assessment is given in a storybook format that will be familiar to most preschool students.

CARI (DIBELS 7-9) Research Release for the 2018-2019 School Year

The authors of DIBELS at Dynamic Measurement Group are pleased to announce the continued research release of CARI™: DIBELS 7-9 to research partners for the 2018-2019 school year. CARI stands for Content Area Reading Indicators and is a formative assessment for students in grades 7 to 9. The CARI is directly aligned with the Common Core Standards in Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.

DIBELS Deep CFOL Available for the 2018-2019 School Year

Dynamic Measurement Group is pleased to announce the availability of DIBELS Deep CFOL (Comprehension, Fluency, Oral Language) for purchase from DMG at a special introductory price for the 2018-2019 school year.
A primary purpose and intended use of DIBELS Deep CFOL is to assist educators in (a) untangling the many possible reasons why a student may struggle with comprehension, and (b) better targeting interventions to those skill areas that support reading comprehension.

DIBELS Math Early Release Continues for the 2018-2019 School Year

The authors of DIBELS at Dynamic Measurement Group are pleased to announce the continued early release of DIBELS Math for research partners for the 2018-2019 school year. DIBELS Math is aligned with the Common Core Standards in Mathematics, and consists of measures of Early Numeracy, Computation, and Concepts and Applications.

IDAPEL Early Release for the 2018-2019 School Year

The authors of IDAPEL® at Dynamic Measurement Group are pleased to announce the early release of IDAPEL for research partners for the 2018-2019 school year. IDAPEL is a series of French-language formative assessments designed to assess the early literacy skills of students learning to read in French in grades K through 5. IDAPEL assesses the fundamental early reading skills of phonemic awareness, alphabetic principle, accuracy and fluency with connected text, and text comprehension.

Announcing an additional category for Above Benchmark performance

The authors of DIBELS Next at Dynamic Measurement Group (DMG) recently released a new Above Benchmark level for DIBELS Next.
The benchmark goals and cut points for risk have not changed. The new Above Benchmark level provides a higher goal for which typical- and high-achieving students and schools can aim.

Our Statement about the Official DIBELS Next Benchmark Goals

It has come to our attention that the University of Oregon/CTL data system recently released their own version of benchmark goals for DIBELS Next. Please note that the official DIBELS Next benchmark goals have not changed. The CTL-proposed benchmark goals do not come from the authors of DIBELS and we do not recommend using them. The goals proposed by CTL do not meet the DIBELS Next technical specifications for official benchmark goals.
