Our summer and fall 2010 regional training events will feature the DIBELS Next Transition and Data Interpretation Workshops. The DIBELS Next Transition Workshop
is designed to support educators who currently use DIBELS 6th Edition and want to learn how to administer and score DIBELS Next. The DIBELS Next Data Interpretation Workshop will focus on how to use DIBELS Next data effectively. Current DIBELS Mentors attending this workshop will receive presentation materials to train both new and transitioning users on the DIBELS Next.

DIBELS® Next Transition Workshop Details

The DIBELS Next Transition Workshop will briefly review the foundations of DIBELS, provide a description of the changes to all DIBELS Next
measures, and offer training and practice on administering and scoring the new measures.
Registration opens daily at 8:00 a.m. with the workshops scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at each location. Registration fees vary by location. Please refer to the registration packet. Early bird discounts are available for each event.
All participants will receive certificates of completion for the DIBELS Next Transition Workshop. Certificates will be distributed at the
close of the workshop.

This workshop is designed for educators who have completed the DIBELS Next Essential or Transition training, and wish to extend their knowledge of DIBELS in order to use and interpret DIBELS data for instructional planning purposes. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to interpret classroom and individual student reports, plan for and establish instructional groups, set instructional goals, and evaluate the effectiveness of instruction through progress monitoring.

Alisa Dorman, Professional Development Specialist

Alisa Dorman's experience as an educator ranges from teaching in elementary and intermediate schools to directing and managing state and federal programs for the Oklahoma State Department of Education. She has 6½ years experience in the classroom and 8½ years of experience in administration and management. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and masters' degrees in school counseling and reading. She holds a current teaching certificate for the following areas: elementary education, early childhood education, elementary school counseling, reading specialist, elementary school principal, and superintendent.

Stephanie A. Stollar, Ph.D.

Stephanie A. Stollar, Ph.D., is a Professional Development Specialist/Research Associate with Dynamic Measurement Group. Dr. Stollar is a nationally certified school psychologist and a 1996 graduate of the doctoral program in school psychology at the University of Cincinnati. She has worked as a school psychologist and as an assistant professor in the school psychology program at the University of South Florida. Additionally, she has 12 years experience providing professional development and consultation to school districts on the use of direct assessment measures, including DIBELS, to improve outcomes for all students.
