IDEL Reliability Study in Mexico

DIBELS Training InstituteDuring the 2007-2008 school year, longitudinal data are being collected on over 400 students in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the reliability and validity of the IDEL® measures in a Spanish-speaking country. The study is made possible by a partnership with the Guanajuato Ministry of Education and by the help of student data collectors from the Benemérita Escuela Normal Primaria de Guanajuato. For more information on this exciting study, reading the "In Focus: IDEL Research in Mexico" article in the September 2007 DIBELS Newsletter.

IDEL Fluidez en los Sonidos Iniciales (FSI)

The objective of this study is to analyze whether the IDEL FSI measure is a stronger predictor of students' phonemic awareness and alphabetic principle skills in the spring of kindergarten than the IDEL FSF (Fluidez en la Segmentación de Fonemas) measure.
