DIBELS Next Essential Workshop
Introductory, comprehensive training for DIBELS users; Foundations of DIBELS; Administration and scoring of measures; Overview of using DIBELS within an RtI/Outcomes-Driven Model. Recommended length: 2 days.
DIBELS Next Data Interpretation Workshop
Using DIBELS Next data at the systems- and student-level for improving reading outcomes; progress monitoring; evaluating effectiveness of reading instructional support. Includes Pathways of Progress training. Pathways of Progress is a research-based tool that can be used by educators to set meaningful, ambitious and attainable progress monitoring goals. Recommended length: 1 day.
DIBELS Next Mentoring Workshop/Training of Trainers
This workshop prepares participants to become DIBELS Next Mentors. DIBELS Next mentors support and train others on administering and scoring of DIBELS Next measures plus data interpretation. Prequisites: DIBELS Next Essential and DIBELS Next Data Interpretation workshops. Recommended length: 1-day.
Effective Reading Instruction Workshop
Strategies for providing effective K-3 reading instruction; essential reading skills to teach for supporting reading development; enhancing delivery of reading instruction to improve reading outcomes. Recommended length: 1-2 days.
DIBELS Next Survey and DIBELS Deep Workshop
Administration and scoring of DIBELS Next Survey and DIBELS Deep for the purposes of identifying the target skills to teach during reading instruction; instructional levels; and progress monitoring levels. Recommended length: 1 day.
DIBELS Next for Administrators
Administrators' overview of how use DIBELS Next to improve reading outcomes. Content customized for administrators' needs. Recommended length: 1/2-1 day.
DIBELS Math Essential Workshop
Introductory, comprehensive training on DIBELS Math; Foundations of DIBELS Math; administration and scoring of the early numeracy and computation measures, logistics of assessment and use within an outcomes-driven model. Recommended length: 1 day.

PELI (DIBELS Pre-K) Workshop
The Preschool Early Literacy Indicator (PELI) is a storybook-embedded assessment of essential pre-literacy and oral language skills needed for kindergarten. This half-day workshop is targeted to early childhood educators. It will cover the foundations and research behind early child literacy and oral language development, how to administer and score all subtests of the PELI measures, and how to use the results within an outcomes-driven model. Recommended length: 1/2-day.
DIBELS AD/Pathways of Progress Workshop
This workshop provides training on the new DIBELS product, DIBELS AD, being used for accountability decisions and the research-based tool, Pathways of Progress, that can be used by educators to set meaningful, ambitious, and attainable goals for students. Recommended length: 1/2 day.

Stephanie A. Stollar, Ph.D.
Stephanie A. Stollar, Ph.D., is a Professional Development Specialist/Research Associate with Dynamic Measurement Group. Dr. Stollar is a nationally certified school psychologist and a 1996 graduate of the doctoral program in school psychology at the University of Cincinnati. She has worked as a school psychologist and as an assistant professor in the school psychology program at the University of South Florida. Additionally, she has 12 years experience providing professional development and consultation to school districts on the use of direct assessment measures, including DIBELS, to improve outcomes for all students.
Kelly A. Powell-Smith, Ph.D., NCSP
Kelly A. Powell-Smith, Ph.D., NCSP, is Vice President and Associate Director of Research & Development at Dynamic Measurement Group, where she conducts research on assessment and intervention related to early childhood language and literacy development. She is also a nationally certified school psychologist. Dr. Powell-Smith obtained her doctorate in school psychology from the University of Oregon in 1993. She is a former Associate Professor of School Psychology at the University of South Florida. She also was a faculty associate of the Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR) and a consultant with the Eastern Regional Reading First Technical Assistance Center (ERFTAC). She has provided training in formative assessment and academic interventions in 20 states and Canada. Over the past 22 years, Dr. Powell-Smith has conducted research related to children with various learning and behavioral difficulties and has conducted over 195 national, state, and regional workshops and presentations.
